Stahl Sheaffer is pleased to announce its first project win with the Ohio Department of Transportation – GEA-166-01.08, a twin-pipe structure replacement beneath S.R. 166 in Hambden Township, Geauga County. The award came on the heels of the firm’s two-year anniversary of establishing an office in North Canton, Ohio.
Dennis Gonano, P.E., will serve as Project Manager and is looking forward to leading the staff in Canton and working with ODOT District 12 again. Stahl Sheaffer’s bridge group is teaming with JMT, S&ME, and Lawhon & Associates to replace the original twin-pipe structure built in 1961 with a four-sided concrete box culvert. As part of the scope, Stahl Sheaffer will perform hydraulic studies with several combinations of grade changes and box sections in an attempt to reduce the culvert’s span to below 10 ft., so the district can remove it from ODOT’s bridge inventory and the burden of annual inspections. |
Stahl Sheaffer is providing services to WVDOT. Stahl Sheaffer recently won its first West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways project this past fall. The project, State Project U331-857-0.67 00 Greenbag Road, located in Monongalia County, includes the development of a Preliminary Investigation & Engineering (PIE) Study for roadway widening and intersection improvements along County Route CR 857 between its junction with CR 857/1 and a 0.10 miles north of CR 857/6
