Cashless Tolling Conversion Findlay Connector
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission
Stahl Sheaffer provided engineering services for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission's conversion to Cashless Tolling for the Findlay Connector from US 22 to I-376 in Allegheny and Washington Counties as a subconsultant. Stahl Sheaffer’s engineering services included the preparation of plans and contract documents for the demolition of six ramp toll facilities and the preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) for each facility to be demolished. Stahl Sheaffer also developed traffic control plans for the various stages of the project to accommodate the facility demolitions and the installation of the new mainline Cashless Tolling facility, and prepared signing and pavement marking plans for the final condition of the mainline and ramps after removal of the six existing ramp toll facilities and the construction of the proposed Cashless Tolling facility along the mainline between exits 2 and 4 of the Findlay Connector.
