SERVICES
This project scope focused on upgrading deteriorated drainage facilities, pavement preservation, curb and sidewalk replacements, and traffic signal upgrades from Colonnade Way to Aaron Drive. The phased traffic control schemes centered on maintaining access to existing businesses. Thirteen separate utility companies were present along this corridor, resulting in complex utility coordination. However, most utilities were able to be avoided and minimal relocations resulted, eliminating potential schedule delays. The project limits were increased on this project three months prior to advertisement. The team was able to incorporate the additional improvements (approximate 0.5-mile additional roadway improvements, five additional temporary and permanent traffic signal designs, and additional utility impacts) and exceed the original let date of the project by two weeks to facilitate construction phasing/scheduling of emergency repairs. Stahl Sheaffer is currently completing the design for Section 152. Sections 153 & 154 are planned for future years. |
