Stahl Sheaffer was selected by The City of Williamsport to provide design services for the rehabilitation of Brandon Park in November 2017. Stahl Sheaffer’s Land Development Department, led by Project Manager Robyn Froehlich, P.E., LEED AP, recently began conceptual design in coordination with City staff. The project is anticipated to be finalized in the spring and is scheduled for construction summer 2018. Design aspects of the project include the development of a nature play space with educational stormwater management component, expansion of existing parking areas and pathways to accommodate for ADA accessibility, improvements to bench placements and site lighting, and the resealing and replacement of court lights for the six existing tennis courts. As the lead consultant, Stahl Sheaffer will carry the contract to completion, along with BSA / LA Landscape Architect, Brian Auman, and Nature Play Consultant, Elizabeth Marcello. Brandon Park will provide the community with an iconic public space and a recreational destination. Centrally located in the City of Williamsport, the park ties together the adjacent neighborhoods with the nearby downtown and universities and provides a quiet escape from the urban landscape. Stahl Sheaffer also recently completed survey, site design, and construction administration for five new tennis courts at the Community Park in South Williamsport.
