Construction will begin this summer for the Young Scholars Charter School expansion, which includes an additional 20 parking spaces and an 8,000-square-foot second-floor wing. LeFevre Wilk Architects and Stahl Sheaffer Engineering are involved in the expansion process as they have been since 2007.

Stahl Sheaffer’s Soils and Materials Lab in Washington, PA is now an AASHTO Accredited Testing and Inspection Agency. AASHTO is the national Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. On June 29th, 2016 Stahl Sheaffer received accreditation from AAP, AASHTO Accreditation Program formally recognizing the competence of the company to perform specific tests on construction materials to meet specific national and international standards. The 5,000 sf full service lab specializes in Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) and Cold-in-Place Recycled (CIR) asphalt designs to support roadway construction. The AASHTO accreditation will enable Stahl Sheaffer to meet client requirements for testing standards, and will continue to boost new customer’s confidence in the services provided by Stahl Sheaffer.

The LSV’s mission is: To provide education & programming to strengthen the skill sets for emerging & established leaders in the Susquehanna Valley Region. The program brings together men and women from a diverse range of economic, geographic, and educational backgrounds who possess an interest in assuming effective leadership roles.
