Stahl Sheaffer Engineering is honored to have provided civil engineering for the renovations to Penn State’s Recital Hall, which recently received the Ingrid P. Holtzman Award from the Borough of State College for providing a quality design project to the community. This award recognizes a project that “substantially enhances, promotes, or maintains the aesthetic appearance of the Borough” and was presented at the Authorities, Boards, & Commissions (ABC) dinner in April 2019. The new 400-seat Recital Hall serves as Penn State’s primary venue for solo recitals and chamber music performances at University Park. Stahl Sheaffer worked with the Bostwick Design team to provide the site design and permitting for this project, which included land development services for stormwater management design, erosion control plans, utility connections, grading, site layout, and design of walls for the stairs and terraced seating area.
Since the firm’s founding in 2006, Stahl Sheaffer has completed approximately 500 projects with Penn State. Read more here about Stahl Sheaffer’s site and structural engineering capabilities for higher education.
