Bridge/Tunnel Project Manager
Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of a growing portfolio of bridge design and bridge inspection projects
Provide technical guidance to bridge designers, junior engineers, and technicians in the delivery of projects
Build project plans, lead project pursuits, and manage clients
Manage and oversee project financials
Prepare and review plans, specifications, and associated project design requirements
Author bridge studies and inspection reports
Perform bridge analyses, design calculations and field inspections of bridges
Interpret scope-of-work documents and plan staffing, effort, and resource needs
Lead bridge designers and junior engineers in their performance of tasks and assignments
Review bridge plan submittals for quality standards
Provide license seal for final construction plans and bid documents
Monitor and report the status, progress, and costs of assigned projects
Requirements
B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
Licensed Professional Engineer
8 years of experience designing bridge projects and/or leading bridge inspection contracts
The ability to obtain state and federal background clearances to permit working onsite when necessary
A valid driver’s license and daily access to a motor vehicle
Progressive experience in bridge project management, bridge structure design, bridge structure plan development, and bridge-related specifications for PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and/or similar local projects
Strong organizational and management skills
Experience in oversight of design teams/work
Experience with bridge hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses a plus
Knowledge/experience with Bentley Microstation
CBSI experience/certification a plus
Project management software, applications, and scheduling tools
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication with co-workers, clients, and the general public
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
