Utility Relocation Technician
Stahl Sheaffer Engineering is currently seeking a Utility Relocation Coordinator in West Virginia (may report to McMurray, PA, Morgantown, WV, or Ravenswood (Ripley), WV office.

- Travel to project locations and identify utility types and owners. May include overnight travel.
- Read and understand construction drawings, utility relocation drawings, and contracts, and provide feedback concerning potential impacts.
- Coordinate directly with utility owner to schedule field views, inventory existing utility components, and develop relocation plans and schedules.
- Document and maintain correspondence files.
- Technical understanding of public utility infrastructure, including water, sewer, gas, electric and communication systems.
- Experience working with the public utility providers in West Virginia, including but not limited to: American Electric Power, Frontier, First Energy, Union Oil and Gas, Alliance Petroleum Corp, Jay-Bee Oil & Gas, etc.
- Understanding of the West Virginia Division of Highways Accommodation of Utilities on Highway Right of Way and Adjustment and Relocation of Utility Facilities on Highway Projects manual.
- A valid Driver’s License and daily access to a motor vehicle.
- Satisfactory driving record and ability to successfully pass background checks.
- Ability to work independently and critically analyze work situations and assignments.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- The ability to walking several miles during working hours, possibly on steep terrain.
