Stahl Sheaffer provided structural engineering services for Triple D Truss, LLC’s new storage building based on requested client layouts. The purpose of the project was to provide design services for a permit drawing set for the proposed new storage building.
The structure consisted of a 170’x68’ open storage area with 40’x7-to-25' column spacing including a 20’x68’ partially open area at the end of the storage area supported by wood stud walls. The building consisted of a light gauge metal roofing over sheathed wood trussed roof structure over girder trusses spanning between columns or with trusses bearing directly over wood bearing walls. A sheathed roof diaphragm and shear walls were used for lateral stability of the structure. The floor of the structure was a sloped concrete slab-on-grade to support use as a storage building and match existing grades. |
