Senior Project Manager - OH

Stahl Sheaffer is currently seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager in the Columbus or Dayton, Ohio area.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Project Manager position would possess:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum
• Ohio P.E. license is required
• PTOE certification is required
• 15+ years of experience with transportation & traffic engineering projects
• 10+ years of experience working in collaborative & unstructured teams, as well as managing & leading those teams
• Candidates must have a knowledge of highway design
• Experience on ODOT and/or Ohio Turnpike projects
• Experience on traffic engineering projects
• Has obtained or is able to obtain ODOT prequalifications in one or more of the following areas:
  • Bicycle Facilities & Enhancement Design
  • Complex Road Design
  • Interchange Study
  • Safety Study
  • Basic Traffic Signal Design
  • Traffic Signal System Design
  • Limited Highway Lighting Design
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrate excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills including communicating with co-workers, clients, and the general public
• The ability to obtain state and federal background clearances to permit working on-site for clients
• A valid driver's license and daily access to a motor vehicle

The Senior Project Manager's responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

• Manage design projects including managing the approved scope, budget, & schedule
• Lead and manage the design team consisting of staff designers, engineers, & other consultants as appropriate
• Proposal development
• Business development
• Day-to-day project oversight & communication with clients
• Develop, track, update, forecast, & modify project schedule and budget throughout all phases of the project
• Prepare monthly project reports
• Assist in project reviews & QA/QC activity
