RACW Donora Sidewalk Improvement Project

Stahl Sheaffer provided engineering design services for the reconstruction of 6,800 linear feet of sidewalk. The entire reconstructed sidewalk route was designed to current ADA accessibility standards by improving curb ramps, adding detectable warning surfaces, and upgrading inlet grates to meet accessibility criteria. The project was a PennDOT-funded Transportation Enhancement (TE) project which involved topographic survey services, preliminary engineering, environmental clearance, utility coordination, and final design; including a complete bidding package meeting all applicable Federal and PennDOT requirements. In addition to being the engineering design, Stahl Sheaffer provided construction management and inspection services to ensure that the Donora Sidewalk Improvement project conformed to all PennDOT requirements.
