Stahl Sheaffer provided engineering services for roadway improvements including field surveys, roadway design, and construction inspection. Stahl Sheaffer was responsible for preparing plans and specifications for public improvements that were in compliance with Federal, State and local requirements with CDBG funding. Construction included drainage improvements, milling of existing pavements, and asphalt overlay. Stahl Sheaffer construction inspection personnel coordinated with the contractor to review the project prior to construction to see if there were any issues needing to be resolved before work began. Inspectors were onsite throughout construction to review bids, recommend the lowest bidder, provide general supervision of construction, certify completion of the contractor’s work, and ensure all work was performed according to the plans and contract specifications.
