Penn State Ford Building Façade Inspection

Stahl Sheaffer completed an investigation of the Donald H. Ford Building (Ford) façade, located on Penn State's University Park Campus. The building had several previous remediation and repair projects completed in recent years. Stahl Sheaffer used visual observations via high-lift access and investigative demolition performed by Allegheny Restoration Inc. to document the current condition of the façade.
The result of the building inspection was the identification of a number of deficiencies found throughout the perimeter columns of the building, with likely contributing factors spanning from issues with the original design and construction through the recently completed repairs, including:
