Stahl Sheaffer provided survey, roadway and drainage design, and construction inspection for the reconstruction of Patton Hill Road (T-398). For the Patton Hill Road reconstruction project Stahl Sheaffer designed a roadway that included widening, roadway profile adjustments, drainage improvements, roadway pavement structure strengthening, and safety improvements. Stahl Sheaffer provided overall project management of the design and construction of the roadway improvement project. The Patton Hill Road reconstruction project entailed 12” depth cement stabilized FDR base layer topped with 5” depth of bituminous asphalt base course and 2” depth wearing course over the 1.955 mile project limit. The roadway improvements were designed to accommodate heavy truck traffic from Marcellus Shale development activity. Stahl Sheaffer was responsible for design; development of plans, specifications, estimates package; and coordination with the client and Towanda Township.
