Brumbaugh Academic Center Structural Design

Juniata College, Huntington, PA

Stahl Sheaffer provided structural engineering and construction administration services for the code-based design of a two-story entry addition to the Brumbaugh Academic Center. The new steel framing and composite metal floor deck was constructed to match the existing curved radius of the existing building facade and incorporates new full height glass storefronts and a second level balcony and seating area.

The facility houses renovated classrooms, seminar rooms and Alumni Hall within the circular rotunda, a 400-seat auditorium used for small concerts, large lectures, film viewing, workshops, and more.
