Geoffrey Shaffer, P.E., CBSI
Senior Manager

Mr. Shaffer has 23 years of experience. His responsibilities include overseeing and performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, structural design and inspection, roadway design, bridge replacement studies, rating analyses, plans preparation, cost estimates, field survey, and shop drawing review. He has experience completing bridge design and inspection projects, and DEP Permitting for PennDOT, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, local municipalities and counties, and the private sector. As a Senior Manager, Mr. Shaffer has knowledge and experience with the PennDOT Design Manuals, Standards, and plan development, Load Factor and LRFD design and analysis, bridge and overhead sign inspection, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis methods and software. Mr. Shaffer’s software experience includes: PennDOT Engineering Software, AutoTAB, Microstation, HEC-RAS, HY-8, Watershed Modeling System (WMS), and Win TR-55.
