Heavy Hauling Route Analysis
Stahl Sheaffer provided heavy hauling route analysis and GIS services in support of gas production operations for a private energy client. Stahl Sheaffer evaluated potential public routes to be used for pipeline construction access including collection of 360⁰imagery to assess the condition of each road and a safety audit to provide recommendations to enhance safer travel conditions. Stahl Sheaffer also coordinated with roadway owners and agencies to execute Roadway Use Maintenance Agreements (RUMA). This included documenting the initial condition of all roads covered by the RUMAs prior to pipeline construction activities.
Key deliverables for this project included:
Haul route analysis for 52 miles of pipeline and 85 miles on RUMA roads.
Customized Arcpad projects for preliminary route analysis.
RUMA agreement mapping across all counties, townships, and municipalities.
Access route mapping for entire project based on vehicle weight classification.
Public and private road upgrade and maintenance identification, design, bidding and construction management and inspection.
