Stahl Sheaffer Engineering designed various site improvements at Beaver Stadium including renovations to Gates A, F, and E to increase patron flow capacity during ticketing and security operations, and a field improvement project to replace portions of the existing field perimeter with synthetic turf. Stahl Sheaffer provided construction administration coordination with Penn State Athletics staff, Penn State Office of Physical Plant, and contractors throughout the bidding and construction process. Stahl Sheaffer collected pavement cores to determine the existing pavement structure and performed Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) tests to identify the subbase and subgrade layer properties. Using the field data, Stahl Sheaffer performed the pavement design on the rehabilitated sidelines of Beaver Stadium.
