Building Structures Project Engineer
Responsibilities
Assist the Project Team in the development and design of building structural projects which consist of the plans, specifications, and estimates
Develop feasible design alternatives and compare significant parameters
Review design details and coordinate technical recommendations
Assess the cost‐effective constructability of the project and generally evaluate the quality of the project
Provide day‐to‐day technical support, guidance, and input
Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, studies, permits, and designs for various projects
Instruct CADD technicians to reduce designs to working drawings
Requirements
Bachelor's degree - Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis)
Licensed Professional Engineer
At least six years of experience in building structures
The ability to obtain state and federal background clearances to permit working on-site when necessary
A valid driver’s license and daily access to a motor vehicle
Experience with modeling and drafting using Revit
Experience with structural design software packages using RAM/Elements and TEDD
Experience with field inspections, design, and production of construction drawings, preparation of specifications, and construction administration
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication with co-workers, clients, and the general public
